Peter J. Prusinski was raised on a small dairy farm in northern Wisconsin. Peter graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point majoring in Philosophy and Business Administration. He was a collegiate football and track athlete. Peter is a 2010 graduate of Marquette University Law School.
While in law school, Peter gained experience in several internships. In Milwaukee County's Circuit Court, Peter successfully tried and assisted in criminal jury trials in the Public Defender Clinic. He served as a judicial intern under the Honorable Rebecca F. Dallet in Milwaukee County Circuit Court's Felony Division. Peter also interned at the Catholic Charities Immigration Project. Peter made the Dean's List, received the Wauwatosa Education Association "Friend of Education Award" for tutoring at a juvenile detention facility, and was a member of the St. Thomas More Society.
Peter focuses his practice on criminal law, family law, general civil litigation, and immigration law. He is a criminal defense lawyer with trial experience. He zealously advocates for individual's Constitutional rights not only to protect his clients, but also to maintain integrity and justice for all. Peter also takes pride in helping people successfully navigate difficult and emotional family law matters, from adoption to divorce, including cases involving child custody, child support, property division and maintenance issues. Peter has trial and litigation experience in general civil matters, and his immigration knowledge assists those with both criminal and immigration issues. He is admitted to the State Bar of Wisconsin.
Peter's wife is from Peru, and he has basic conversation ability in Spanish. Peter enjoys indoor and outdoor recreational activities, including hunting, fishing, reading, music, computers, skiing, and aviation.
